The Republic Attack Gunship, or Low Altitude Assault Transport/infantry (LAAT/i), was used widely throughout the Clone Wars as transport for clone troopers through the battlefield while providing heavy air support.

This model is 2,414 pieces. It fits minifigures inside the cockpit and hangar bay, has working doors and a back loading ramp, and poseable cannons located at the very front and back. The instructions also come with directions for an angled display stand. Although it is definitely designed as a display model as far as LEGO sets go, and the build process can become complex and difficult, it is quite solid once it's all clicked together.
